Rebuild of a traditional lime mortared Angus sandstone dyke with a boulder cope. Built in collaboration with Drystane Dyking Services.
A 30 square metre stretch of stone wall which had been damaged by a blocked drainage system. The consequence of which flooded the culvert and neighboring Red Lion Caravan Park.
Smoots (drainage points) have been built in to the wall to allow water to pass through safely without damaging the integrity of the structure. The mortar was mixed with an NHL3.5 lime binder and locally sourced sand.
